Definition of Coronary Heart Disease.

The heart is a vital organ. The heart is a muscular organ, the amount of approximately fistful of your hand. His job of pumping blood to the body. This is called the circulatory system.

Once again, the heart muscle that pumps blood through the aorta and vein (circulation systems), the heart also pumps blood to itself through the arteries of the heart (coronary) heart and veins.

Coronary heart arteries are named from the word corona means crown , so the heart muscle is considered as the head, and the blood vessels that surrounds the heart is like a crown.

Well, sometimes we were disturbed heart. The causes are many, but the vast majority were heart arteries (coronary) narrowed or blocked.

Narrowing or blockage of the heart arteries (coronary) is most often caused by a buildup of fatty material waxy (waxy).

The process of accumulation of fatty material is called atherosclerosis, whereas the fatty material that builds up in the coronary arteries (coronary) called Atheroma (in Indonesia usually called plaque).

So, there is the fat that accumulates in the arteries of the heart (coronary), which causes a narrowing or blockage of heart arteries.

As a result of coronary artery narrowing / blockage of the coronary arteries are the blood flow to the heart muscle is reduced (in the case of narrowing) or even stopped (in the case of blockage) so that the heart muscle is deprived of oxygen and nutrients.

If the heart muscle is deprived of blood (meaning lack of oxygen and nutrients) after a long time the heart muscle weakens, even get damaged (dead).
